After more than three months since the start of the acceleration program, Uplift Western Balkans regional startup accelerator will close its fourth edition on November 21, 2022, with the final Demo-Day.
More than 60 startups and 79 founders who applied to join this edition, only 10 of them were accepted by the acceleration program after successfully passing the valuation phase of Selection Bootcamp and for more than 7 weeks were mentored by Albanian and international experts, investors, and entrepreneurs.
Khanal.al, Codon, Eco Solution Research, FleetON, ConsciESG, Recro Thrift Store, Be My Safety from Alcoders, Knowledge Bits, MaitriVR and Mirjana Josifoska come from a broad range of industries such as e-commerce, cloud, design, fintech, agritech, data science, health tech and renewable energies.
For the second year in a row, Uplift Western Balkans takes on the dimensions of a regional startups accelerator and takes place in Albania, Kosovo, and North Macedonia thanks to the close partnership between ICTSlab, VentureUP and ICANN.
Founded in 2019 in Albania, Uplift startup accelerator began the fourth edition with the support of Minister of State for Entrepreneurship Protection in Albania and is organized in the framework of “Qëndro” Project financed by Italian Government and implemented by UNICEF.
On November 21 at 17:30 in the premises of Artistic Lyceum “Tonin Harapi”, the closing ceremony of a three-month long journey will take place.

Prizes and rewards will be handed to the best startups financed by UNICEF and Uplift Western Balkans partners. Entrepreneurs, investors, business angels, experts, companies, supporters will join this event.
The event will start at 16:30 with a closed activity between startups and investors at Investor Connect. Each startup has the opportunity to meet for 7 minutes with investors who will physically participate in the Demo-Day.
Demo-Day will be officially opened for the public from 17:30 with more than 200 participants to closely follow the startup pitches.
The night will be closed at 20:30 with the winner’s announcement, big prizes, and rewards for the best startups.
10 startups will pitch at Demo-Day in front of a jury consisting of international investors, donors and business angels from Region and Central Europe.
The fourth Edition of Uplift Western Balkans
Uplift Western Balkans began its acceleration program with the first workshop on September 16. For three months, startups were mentored by Albanian and international experts from different industries and field such as entrepreneurship, investing, startups, leadership, marketing, social media, online communication, branding etc.
The workshops were led by Peter Brunner, Jewell Sparks, Admir Berbiu, Eneid Lika, Kushtrim Xhakli, Kotryna Kurt, Reita Hackaj and Henrik Lezi.
On October 19-24 Uplift Western Balkans startups traveled to Slovakia on a study trip organized by ICTSmedia in Albania and SOVVA in Slovakia in the framework of Bridge2EU program. This program serves as a bridge between Western Balkans startups and Central Europe startups and innovation ecosystem.
