From a company that designs and produced recreation spaces to a platform that teaches architecture by playing, 10 startups from Western Balkans will showcase their innovations on January 17 at Uplift Demo-Day.
Selected as the European Youth Capital, Tirana will host the third consecutive final of the biggest startup accelerator in Western Balkans thus finalizing a 4-month long journey that started with 57 candidates and 20 of them were invited to Selection Bootcamp.
Startup founders will take the stage of Demo-Day at “Tonin Harapi” Concert Hall at Artistic Lice in Tirana in front of an audience of physical and virtual presence from startups, to entrepreneurs, investors, supporters and partners of Uplift Western Balkans such as: Tirana Mayor Mr. Erion Veliaj, Minister of State for Entrepreneurship Ms. Edona Bilali, Minister of State for Youth Ms. Bora Muzhaqi, Slovak entrepreneur Mr. Peter Kolesar and investors such as Mr. Elvin Guri, Ms. Cosmina Popa, Ms. Eli Zhabevska, Mr. Martin Bjergegaard, Ms. Eva Simekova and Mr. Matej Ftacnik.
A fruit of close cooperation of SOVVA in Slovakia, ICTSmedia in Albania, VentureUP in Kosovo and ICAN in Macedonia and financial support of SlovakAid Uplift Western Balkans started the third edition after application deadline in September 2021.
Despite the fact the Demo-Day represent the final and inauguration phase of a training, development and advancement program for startups, their products and business innovation models, it is only the first step towards a long entrepreneurship journey that awaits them in the future.
It is this key moment during their 4 months long efforts that will bring Uplift Western Balkans startup in the attention of media, partners, supporters, and angel investors.
During Investor Connect, a 60-minute-long event before Demo-Day, 10 startups will meet with investors. More than 50 experts from different industries from region and Europe supported our startups during their journey to this grand finale.
A Prize pool of 7 thousand euros will be awarded to best startups who also can raise investments and pitch in front of partners and investors.

Three years ago, Uplift Western Balkans started with a clear mission to grow and democratize startup and entrepreneurship ecosystem in Western Balkans and turning itself into an innovation hub focused on science and technology.
Nothing is guaranteed in entrepreneurship, and most of business initiatives, from startups to small businesses fail. Dozens of ambitious startups were supported by Uplift Western Balkans and the impact of this program has been translated into their technology, business and even their work culture.
This impact is noticed more than anything else in their growing ambitions, from modest initiatives to startups that are looking for solutions in different areas and industries such as artificial intelligence, robotics, educations, environmental issues, health, virtual reality, marketing, gaming, food, architecture etc.
